Get around
The CTA 'L' and buses cover the city; the Red Line runs 24 h and the Blue Line reaches O'Hare around the clock. Buy a Ventra card or tap a contactless card. Downtown is walkable and the lakefront path is the best way to move north–south. Taxis and rideshares fill the gaps; a car is a liability downtown because of parking costs.
