Chhitkul
One night in Chhitkul is enough: walk the valley, eat at the guesthouse, then head back to Sangla or onward to Kalpa. A day-trip from Sangla works if you're short on time.
Chhitkul is the highest village in the Sangla Valley, a green and remote settlement with a handful of guesthouses and small restaurants. It's a place for quiet walks, not sightseeing: walk up the valley toward the military base, buy a Kinnauri hat, eat an egg sandwich at the restaurant near the bus stand. Most travellers stay one night or visit on a day-trip from Sangla.
