Chhapra
Skip Chhapra unless you have family ties or a specific interest in Bhojpuri culture: half a day covers the temple and mosque, then move on to Patna or Sasaram.
Chhapra is a small city in Bihar, 70 km northwest of Patna, best known as the birthplace of India's first president, Dr. Rajendra Prasad. It has a Shaktipeeth temple and a Mughal-era mosque, but most travellers pass through on the way to Sasaram or the Nepal border. A half-day stop is enough.
