Cheyenne Wells is a small town on the Eastern Plains of Colorado, 3 h east of Denver on I-70. With fewer than 900 residents, its appeal is a quiet stopover for travellers crossing the plains. Two small museums open by appointment in summer, a couple of motels and a diner. Most people drive through.
