Charsadda
Skip unless you are a history or archaeology enthusiast: half a day to see the ruins of Pushkalavati and the Muqbara Cemetery, then move on to Peshawar or Mardan.
Charsadda is a small town in the Peshawar valley, once the capital of Gandhara (Pushkalavati). Today it offers little for the casual traveller beyond scattered ruins and a cemetery. Most visitors pass through en route to Peshawar or Mardan.
