Cetona
Half a day is enough to see Cetona's medieval core and the Civic Museum; use it as a lunch stop or a quiet base for southern Tuscany, not a destination.
Cetona is a small hill town in the Siena province of Tuscany, with a preserved medieval centre, a fortress and a prehistoric museum. It works best as a short stop between Chiusi and Montepulciano or as a low-key base for exploring the Val di Chiana and Val d'Orcia. Most visitors spend a few hours or one quiet night.
