Central North Wirral is the suburban middle of the Wirral peninsula — Greasby, Frankby, Irby, Upton, Moreton, Woodchurch and Leasowe — sitting between the M53 and the Dee coast. It has no single headline sight, but it has the area's cheapest chain beds, two country parks, a lighthouse on the Irish Sea coast and fast Merseyrail links to Liverpool and West Kirby. Treat it as a practical base, not a destination.

Merseyrail's West Kirby line serves Leasowe and Moreton, with direct trains to Birkenhead and Liverpool; Upton sits on the Borderlands line with roughly hourly trains, so check times. Arriva 437 links Liverpool, Birkenhead, Upton, Greasby and Frankby; Stagecoach 22 runs along Mill Lane in Greasby from West Kirby, Heswall and Chester. A Merseytravel Saveaway day ticket covers buses, trains and ferries in the area, about £5 off-peak. National Cycle Route 56 crosses the area toward Chester, Neston, New Brighton and Liverpool.
