Castle Combe
Half a day is enough: walk the valley, see St Andrew's Church and the Market Place, then leave. No need to stay overnight unless you want a quiet evening at the Manor House.
Castle Combe is a small Cotswolds-style village in Wiltshire, set in a narrow valley of the By Brook. Its main draw is the medieval street scene around the Market Place and the 13th–15th-century St Andrew's Church. The Castle Combe Circuit race track is south of the upper village. Most visitors spend 2–4 hours here as a stop between Bath and the Cotswolds or as a day trip from Chippenham or Swindon.
