Castelo
Castelo is a half-day stop for the Forno Grande rock face and the Corpus Christi carpets; one night if you want to hike or paraglide.
Castelo is a small town in southern Espírito Santo, 2 h by car from Vitória. Its main draw is the Forno Grande State Park, a granite dome popular with climbers and paragliders, and the annual Corpus Christi festival when the streets are covered in colourful stone-and-grain tapestries. The town itself is quiet; most visitors pass through on a day trip from the coast or Cachoeiro de Itapemirim.
