Casal Velino
Half a day to one night: see the old town, walk the Marina, then move on to Paestum or the Cilento coast.
Casal Velino is a quiet Cilento town on the Gulf of Velia, best as a short stop between Paestum and the southern Cilento villages. The old centre has views of hills and sea, the Marina has a small beach, and the nearby ruins of Velia (Elea) are the main draw. Most travellers use it for a half-day or one night.
