Get around
The centre is flat and walkable: castle to the bay is about 25–30 min on foot along the Taff, or 5 min by train from Cardiff Queen Street to Cardiff Bay. Local trains are run by Transport for Wales and Great Western Railway (GWR); tap or buy at the station. Buses cover the suburbs but are slow in traffic. Driving is a liability in the centre — use park-and-ride from Caerphilly, Cogan or Radyr if you arrive by car.
