Călimănești
Călimănești-Căciulata
Half a day for the springs and Cozia Monastery, or a full day if you add the Roman fort and a spa treatment. One night is enough.
Călimănești is a small spa town in the Olt Valley, between Sibiu and Râmnicu Vâlcea. Its mineral springs, the 14th-century Cozia Monastery and the Arutela Roman fort are the main draws. Most travellers stop for a few hours on the way to or from the Transfăgărășan, or stay one night for a spa break.
