Buttenheim
Half a day is enough: see the Levi-Strauss-Museum, drink at a beer garden, then move on to Bamberg or Forchheim.
Buttenheim is a small Upper Franconian town best known as the birthplace of Levi Strauss, inventor of blue jeans. The Levi-Strauss-Museum tells his story, and two traditional beer gardens serve Franconian food and local brews. Most visitors stop for a few hours on the way between Nuremberg and Bamberg.
