Burlington sits on the north shore of Lake Ontario between Toronto and Hamilton, about 45 minutes by GO train from Union Station and roughly an hour from Niagara. The draw is the lakefront — Spencer Smith Park, the Brant Street Pier and the Waterfront Trail — plus the Royal Botanical Gardens, Canada's largest.
