Buraimi
البريمي
Buraimi is a border town worth a half-day stop if you are crossing between Oman and the UAE at Al Ain; otherwise skip it and head to Nizwa or Sohar.
Buraimi sits on the Omani side of the border with Al Ain (UAE). It is smaller and less developed than its neighbour, with a few historic forts, a large mosque and a fossil valley. Most travellers pass through for the border crossing or a quick look, not as a base.
