Bridlington

Bridlington is a flat, walkable seaside town on the East Yorkshire coast, about 40 minutes by train from Hull. It splits into two halves: the harbour and seafront (Bridlington Quay) and the Old Town, roughly a mile inland around the medieval priory. Most visitors come for the sandy beaches, the fish and chips, and the chalk cliffs at Flamborough Head a short drive north. It is a practical base for the Yorkshire coast rather than a destination in itself.

Get around
The centre is flat and walkable; the harbour to Old Town is about 20 min on foot. East Yorkshire Bus 14 runs hourly Monday–Saturday to Flamborough North Landing. There is no bus to Bempton; Bempton railway station is about a mile from the seabird centre. Trains run roughly hourly to Hull (40 min) and less often north to Scarborough via Filey.
