Brantford is a small Ontario city on the Grand River, 1–1.25 h from Toronto by VIA Rail and about 45 min from Hamilton by car. Get around
The centre is walkable, but the Bell Homestead, Woodland Cultural Centre and Chiefswood are spread out and need a car, taxi or rideshare. Brantford Transit runs nine routes on a half-hour schedule from the downtown terminal on Darling St; fare is $3, children 12 and under free.
