Brahmavar
Half a day is enough: see the temple ruins in Barkur, then eat at Akshaya Canteen and leave. No need to stay overnight.
Brahmavar is a small town in Udupi district, just north of Udupi city. Its main draw is the historic cluster of Barkur, with 365 temples and Jain basadis, plus the estuary beach at Bengre. Most visitors pass through on the way between Udupi and Kundapur.
