Borth
Go for one night, or as a half-day from Aberystwyth: beach, Ynyslas dunes and the station museum fill 4–5 hours; a car makes Ynyslas easy.
Borth is a small Ceredigion seaside village of about 1,400 people, 7 miles north of Aberystwyth on the Cambrian Line. It is a sand-and-stone beach with a sea wall, a handful of pubs and shops, a volunteer-run railway museum on the platform, and the dune-backed beach at Ynyslas on the Dyfi estuary. Most travellers see it as a half-day or one-night stop, not a base.
