Bokin
Bokin is a half-day stop for travellers interested in Thomas Sankara's birthplace and rural Mossi life; not a base. One night if you take the afternoon bus from Ouagadougou.
Bokin is a small Mossi village on the Mossi Plateau, best known as the birthplace of former president Thomas Sankara. It has a lively market every three days, basic street food and a few bars. Most visitors come on a day trip from Ouagadougou (3 h by bus) or stay one night to experience village life. There are no major sights beyond the market and the surrounding millet fields.
