Get around
Downtown and campus are walkable and flat; the B-Line Trail is a paved walking and cycling route along an old rail line. Bloomington Transit buses run citywide but many routes are only every 30–60 min, and only campus routes 6 and 9 run on Sundays; single ride about US$1 (check). IU Campus Bus is free and open to the public. Electric scooters are common. A car helps for Lake Monroe, Brown County and the forest; campus parking needs a permit, about US$6 a day from the Indiana Memorial Union (check).
