Birštonas
Go for 1–2 nights as a spa stop between Kaunas and Vilnius: mineral water, forest walks, river ferry in summer. Skip if you want nightlife.
Birštonas is a small Nemunas-loop spa town in Sūduva, southern Lithuania, about 3,100 residents, with hotels and sanatoria out of proportion to its size. It has been a mineral-water resort since the mid-19th century. One night covers the park, the museums and a spa session; two nights if you add the observation tower and a river afternoon. It is a rest stop, not a sightseeing city.
