Bhimavaram
Half a day is enough for the Somarama Temple and a meal; use it as a transit stop between Vijayawada and Kakinada or Rajahmundry, not a base.
Bhimavaram is a small city in central Andhra Pradesh, known for the Somarama Temple, one of the five Pancharama Kshetras. The town itself is compact and easy to cover in a few hours. Most travellers stop here en route to Vijayawada, Rajahmundry or Kakinada. The food is good, the temple is the main draw, and the rest is everyday Andhra life.
