Bhadarwah
A half-day stop or one-night stay on a Jammu–Chamba road trip: the fort, Gupt Ganga Temple and Jai Valley are the draws. Not a base for more than a night unless you trek to Kailash Kund.
Bhadarwah is a small hill town in the Jammu Division, used mainly as a break between Jammu and Chamba (Himachal Pradesh). Its sights — a fort, an ancient temple and a sub-valley with meadows — fill a few hours. Most travellers pass through in one afternoon or stay one night at a riverside camp.

Scams and watch-outs

- No ATM or reliable card payment in some shops: carry enough cash.
- Kailash Kund trek requires a guide and proper gear; not a day hike from town.
Bhadarwah is a quiet hill town with low crime. The main risks are road conditions in monsoon and cold in winter. Carry cash and a local SIM for navigation.
