Bethany Beach
Go for 2–3 nights in Jun–Aug if you want a quiet beach town; skip in winter, when most restaurants and rentals shut.
Bethany Beach is a small Delaware shore town on the Atlantic, part of the coast known as The Quiet Resorts. The year-round population is about 1,000, but roughly 15,000 visitors arrive each summer. The draw is a wide beach, a short boardwalk and a walkable downtown on Garfield Parkway, not nightlife or big attractions. Two to three nights covers it; longer suits families renting a house by the week.
