Belek
Go only if you want an all-inclusive golf or beach resort: 3–7 nights inside the resort, car or taxi for Aspendos and Perge.
Belek is a purpose-built resort strip about 40 km east of Antalya: a dozen golf courses, big all-inclusive hotels and sandy beaches, with almost no town life between them. It works as a fly-and-flop or golf week, not as a sightseeing base. Independent travellers use it for two or three nights to see Aspendos and Perge, then move on to Antalya or Side.

- Long-distance buses don't come into Belek: plan the Serik taxi or dolmuş leg.
- July and August heat plus full resorts: book golf tee times and theme-park tickets ahead.
- Some resort facilities close outside high season: confirm what is open before booking.
Resort areas are calm and well-policed; the real risks are summer heat, sea currents on windy days and overpriced town-centre shops. Use 112 for anything urgent.
