Get around
You need a car. Hwy 71 is the main road from Austin; Loop 150 drops you into downtown, where parking is free and plentiful, and the centre is small enough to park once and walk. CARTS runs a regional bus between Austin and Bastrop (Bastrop Station, 310 Hospital Dr) — useful if you cannot drive, but slow and infrequent.
