How to get there
From Suvarnabhumi Airport, the Airport Rail Link runs to Phaya Thai, where you change to the BTS; a taxi to central areas takes longer in traffic but is simpler with luggage. From Don Mueang, buses and taxis reach the BTS and MRT, and a taxi is the usual choice for a first arrival.
Once in the city, the BTS Skytrain and MRT are the fastest way across town, and river boats are the fastest way to the old city. Metered taxis and ride-hailing apps fill the gaps, but allow extra time in the evening rush.
