Ban Nakasang
ບ້ານນາກະສັງ
Use Ban Nakasang as the ferry gateway to Don Det and Don Khon, not a destination: half a day or one night if you miss the last boat.
Ban Nakasang is a small Mekong-side town that exists almost entirely to serve travellers heading to the 4,000 Islands. The town itself has little to see beyond a morning market and an ATM, but it is the practical hub for boat connections to Don Det and Don Khon. Most visitors pass through in under an hour; a night here is only needed if you arrive after the last boat (around 8pm) or miss the early bus to Pakse.
