Baitadi
बैतडी
Skip unless you have a specific reason to visit this remote hill town: a full day from Dhangadhi by bus, limited accommodation and few sights beyond temples and river views.
Baitadi (also called Baitadi Khalanga) is a small town in the Middle Hills of far-western Nepal, 30 km from the Indian border. It is a quiet stop for travellers exploring the Mid-Hill Highway (F50) or visiting Hindu temples such as Ninglasaini. The journey from Dhangadhi takes about 10 hours by bus, and the town itself offers little beyond a few temples, a health post and basic food. Most visitors pass through in half a day or stay one night if they need to break the bus ride.
