Baga is a beach town on Goa's north coast, linked to Calangute. The main attraction is the shallow, lifeguarded beach, plus easy access to forts, markets and nightlife. One full day covers beach and shacks; a second day allows a short trip to nearby forts or a night out.

- Greeting: Namaste (palms together) or a handshake between men; wait for a woman to offer her hand; avoid: Hugging or kissing strangers
