Bad Segeberg
Half a day is enough unless you come for the Karl May festival: see the Kalkberg, walk the old town and leave. One night if you want to catch a show.
Bad Segeberg is a small spa town in South Holstein known almost entirely for the annual Karl May festival (June–August). Outside festival season the town is quiet: the main sight is the 100 m gypsum Kalkberg with a bat cave, plus a handful of old buildings. Most travellers use it as a short stop between Neumünster and the Baltic coast.
