Bad Salzdetfurth
Half a day is enough: walk the Kurpark, see the salt history and have lunch. Not a base unless you are on a spa cure.
Bad Salzdetfurth is a small spa town in Lower Saxony, 30 km south of Hanover. Its main draw is the Kurpark with a rose garden and bandstand, plus a history of salt mining. Most visitors come for a few hours on a day trip from Hanover or Hildesheim.
