Awaji Island
Spend 1–2 days on Awaji Island: see the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, Naruto whirlpools, and a hot‑spring ryokan; travel by highway bus from Kobe or Osaka.
Awaji Island is a short‑stop in Hyōgo Prefecture, linked by the world‑record Akashi Kaikyo Bridge. With limited public transport, a single night in a ryokan lets you see the bridge, whirlpools, and a few cultural sites without rushing.
