Austell

Skip Austell as a destination. Use it only for Six Flags Over Georgia: a day trip from Atlanta (20 min drive) or a single night if you want the park open to close.

Austell is a small suburban city west of Atlanta, best known for Six Flags Over Georgia. The city itself has little for travellers beyond the amusement park. Most visitors come from Atlanta for the day; a night is only needed for park marathons.
