Atan
Atan Ota
Skip Atan as a destination: it's a roadside commercial town on the Benin border road, not a place to stay. Pass through in 30 min or use it as a fuel/food stop en route to Abeokuta or Cotonou.
Atan (also Atan Ota) is a growing town in Ogun State's Ado-Odo/Ota LGA, about 62 km northeast of Cotonou and 575 km west of Abuja. It sits on the international highway to Benin, with a population around 300,000. The town has a market, a health centre, schools and a few eateries, but no sights that justify a stop. Most travellers use it as a transit point between Lagos and Abeokuta or the border.
