Arco is a small Trentino town on the northern shore of Lake Garda, 4 km from Riva del Garda, known for its medieval castle on a rock cliff, its Habsburg-era parks and villas, and as one of Europe's main sport-climbing areas. It is a base for climbers, hikers and lake days, not a sightseeing city: two nights covers the town and one lake or mountain day.
