Arang
Half a day is enough for Arang: see the 11th-century Jain and Hindu temples on a Raipur–Durg road stop, then move on.
Arang, 36 km east of Raipur on NH 53, is a one-stop town for temple architecture from the 11th–12th centuries. The Bagh Deval, Bhand Dewal and Mahamaya temples are the draw; the town itself is a small rice-mill centre with limited services. Most travellers visit as a half-day detour between Raipur and Durg.
