Aracruz
Half a day to one night: a beach stop between Vitória and Linhares, or a day-trip from Vitória for Barra do Sahy and the biological reserve.
Aracruz is a mid-sized city on the North Coast of Espírito Santo, 80 km north of Vitória. Its main draw is the 3 km beach of Barra do Sahy, lined with bars and kiosks, and the Comboios Biological Reserve, a sea-turtle nesting site. The town itself has little for tourists beyond the beaches and a small municipal park. Most travellers use it as a quick stop on the BR-101 or a day-trip from Vitória.
