A car is the practical choice: sights are spread along Cedar Avenue and County Road 42, and sidewalks are patchy. Minnesota Valley Transit runs weekday commuter buses from the Apple Valley Transit Station (15450 Cedar Ave S) to Minneapolis and St. Paul; the Red Line serves the Mall of America–Apple Valley corridor, so check the exact stop and whether it reaches the transit station before relying on it.
