Go for one night, two at most: a stone village at 950–1,050 m on the Parnon slopes, 2.5–3 h from Athens by car. No car, no trip.
Ano Doliana is a protected stone settlement of about 80 residents on the northern slopes of Mount Parnon in Arcadia, built between 950 and 1,050 m. It is a weekend and summer-house village, not a resort: tavernas, guesthouses, a small war museum, fountains and marked trails. The E4 long-distance path crosses it, and the Parnon Trail starts near here. Come for one night of village food and a half-day walk, or two nights if you want the winery, the quarry and a longer hike. You need your own car.

A car is required. The village itself is walkable in 15 minutes end to end, but the quarry, Kouvlis, Dragouni and the trailheads are 3–5 km apart on narrow roads.
