Annur
அன்னூர்
Skip Annur unless you have a specific reason to visit its temples or textile mills. A half-day stop from Coimbatore or Tirupur is enough.
Annur is a small textile and oil-mill town 32 km from Coimbatore, best known for the 1,000-year-old Manneeswaraswamy Temple built by Chera kings. It has no major hotels or tourist infrastructure. Most travellers use it as a quick detour on the way to or from Coimbatore.
