Ankapur
అంకాపూర్
Skip Ankapur unless you are a farmer or food traveller: it is a model village with one famous chicken dish, reachable by bus and auto from Armoor. Half a day is enough.
Ankapur is a 400-year-old model village in Nizamabad District, Telangana, recognised by the International Rice Research Institute for agricultural development. It has no major sights — a fort turned school, a Hanuman temple and a canal — but its branded country-hen chicken curry draws food travellers from across Andhra Pradesh, the UAE and the USA. Most visitors come for lunch and leave.
