Angel Fire is a village of about 1,200 people in the Moreno Valley, 30–40 min east of Taos over Palo Flechado Pass on US 64. Get around
You need a car. US 64 crosses the valley and NM 434 runs north–south to Mora; both are mountain roads that ice up in winter. The resort runs winter shuttles between parking lots and the base, sometimes stopping at condos if asked ahead. Otherwise it is walking, skiing or driving.
