Algiers by district
A first visit sits inside a narrow coastal strip: the Casbah on the hill above the port, the colonial centre around Didouche Mourad just south of it, the harbour and Amirauté along the water, and El Hamma with the memorial and garden further south-east. Everything outside this strip is a car ride.
