Albarracín
Half a day is enough to walk the wall and see the cathedral; one night if you climb or want sunset photos. Not a base for the region.
Albarracín is a fortified hill town in Aragon, wrapped in a meander of the Guadalaviar River. Its red sandstone walls and 16th-century cathedral are the main draw. Most visitors come from Teruel or Zaragoza for a few hours, though rock climbers stay longer.
