Get around
A car is the practical choice: the whaling station and Torndirrup are 15–25 min out of town with no useful bus. Central Albany, the historic precinct and the port are walkable. A limited town bus (Love's Bus Service) serves Middleton Beach, Emu Point and Little Grove; check the PTA regional timetable. Off-road cycleways link the centre, Middleton Beach and Emu Point.
