Alang
Skip Alang unless you have a specific interest in shipbreaking or industrial photography. A half-day trip from Bhavnagar is enough to see the yard from a distance.
Alang is the world's largest shipbreaking yard, where hundreds of ships are dismantled each year by hand. The town itself has no tourist infrastructure, and the yard is not open to visitors. Photographers and industrial enthusiasts sometimes manage to get access, but most travellers will find the nearby cities of Bhavnagar, Palitana or Diu more rewarding.
