Ahangama
Ahangama is a quiet surf-and-sleep stop on the south coast, not a base: 1–2 nights for the beaches and a break from Galle or Mirissa.
Ahangama is a small coastal town 26 km east of Galle, known for its emerging surf scene and uncrowded beaches. Most travellers use it as a low-key stop between Galle and Mirissa, spending one or two nights for the surf breaks and beach walks. The town has a handful of hotels and guesthouses but limited dining and nightlife.
