Skip Afula as a destination. Use it as a one-night base or bus/train hub for Megiddo, Mount Tabor and the Jezreel Valley.
Afula is the largest town in the Jezreel Valley and its practical hub: a bus station, a railway station on the Haifa–Beit She'an line, cheap falafel and a handful of low-key sights. It has no headline attraction of its own, so most travellers sleep here one night and spend the days at Megiddo, Mount Tabor or Nazareth. Come for the logistics, not the town.

- Intercity buses from Afula stop at about 22:00; plan the last leg or take a sherut taxi.
- Buses from Nazareth do not stop at the railway station — check which stop you need.
- The train runs about once an hour; missing it costs you an hour.
